
A Bit About Me
Ayren Huslig is a professional freelance harpist and educator based in Austin. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Performance from University of Kansas and her Master of Music in Performance from Rice University, where she studied with Paula Page.
Since 2002, Ms. Huslig has taught harp in the Eanes Independent School District and has served as Director of Harp Activities since 2007. Under her leadership, the program has flourished, with students regularly performing in the annual Westlake Nutcracker Spectacular. Her students have earned placements in TMEA All-Region and All-State Orchestras, received Outstanding Performer honors at the UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest, and continued their studies at prestigious universities across the United States and abroad.
In addition to teaching, Ms. Huslig maintains an active performance career, appearing with the Austin Symphony Orchestra, Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra, Victoria Symphony, and numerous other ensembles throughout Texas. Dedicated to both education and performance, she continues to inspire the next generation of harpists while sharing her artistry with audiences across the region.
